Join Sutherland Shire Council as an Apprentice Horticulturalist and gain hands-on experience maintaining some of the Shire’s most beautiful parks, gardens, and open spaces.

About the Opportunity

As an apprentice, you’ll learn from experienced professionals and develop practical skills in:

  • Parks & Gardens maintenance – mowing, pruning, planting, and landscaping
  • Turf and sports field management – keeping community facilities in top shape
  • Bush-care and dune rehabilitation – protecting and restoring natural habitats
  • Nursery operations – propagation, potting, and plant care

You’ll also receive training in the safe use of equipment and horticultural chemicals to ensure a safe and sustainable workplace.
